I've been obsessed with Robert Siken's "Wishbone" for a while now, and I just re-watched Guy Ritchie's "Rocknrolla", and realisation struck me that those two things were PERFECT for each other.

So, with the help of [livejournal.com profile] capathon's incredible HQ stills of the movie, posted at [livejournal.com profile] paperlate, my admittedly limited Photoshop skills, and inspiration from this amazing Inception fanart, I made... this.

I played fast and loose with movie chronology, with the poem's original spacing and punctuation, and took artistic liberties right and left, but I hope you like... comments, constructive criticism and squee are all welcome!

I ... think I love you. This just sums it up. My heart is breaking all over again for these boys. You are some kind of wizard. <3

Thank you! My heart was breaking again with these boys, and I had to spread the sweet, sweet misery with my fellow Rocknrollas.

Seriously, I'm glad you liked it!

jdfhdfllad THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.

And in some way, reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] agenttrojie's wonderful "Stories that aren't about cats" series.

BUT THAT'S A TANGENT.

What I mean to say is this is a beautiful application of Siken and I really got into it and thank you. ♥

jskHFJgfhfgk, even a tangential comparison with "Stories that aren't about cats" will make me do a full-body Muppet!flail!

It makes me happy you liked it and that I don't feel like a lonely crazy person anymore in thinking that Siken and these two just had to come together somehow.

Thank you!

:)

Ahaha, I am so glad I didn't offend you with a comparison. I typed it and thought 'Self, you really, really shouldn't say that--even if you mean it as a compliment.' So I'm very relieved you didn't mind. 8D;;;;

I hope you do more of this sort of thing for RockNRolla in the future! ♥

No offence at all! I take my compliments in any way I can fin them! ;-)

I've never really thought of myself as having any sort of talent for image manipulation or stuff... but I was thinking of doing A Softer World remixes with these screencaps. I've done them before (for the football fandom, mind you) and they're easy but can work out surprisingly well, so... yay, more distractions! I might do that instead of working on my dissertation!

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate them!

:)

Oh, I'd love to see whatever you come up with. RockNRolla can always use the attention, too. ;)

Absolutamente precioso

CRUSH
"Tell me about the dream where we pull the bodies out of the lake
and dress them in warm clothes again.
How it was late, and no one could sleep, the horses running
until they forget that they are horses.

Pues bien(re)encontrado Siken!

Well that was absolutely perfect. It. I can't. Words fail me.

I love you for having this idea and then doing it <3
