I've heard about Botineras, of course. Seen a video of the highlights of the Flaco/Lalo relationship in YouTube, even (there was a time the Spanish footie fandom was all aflutter about it! XD). I don't know if I could write fic about it, though... I mean, other than a few snippets, I don't really know it well, or the characters, so it'd probably ring false if I tried to write it. Maybe you can ask another fic writer who actually follows the show? Sorry...
